Craig and Robin Petersen were able to fulfill their dreams by purchasing Bag of Bones in November of 2015 from their neighbor and friend. Bag of Bones had almost a decade tradition of only carrying healthy dog and cat foods an alternative to the big pet stores, box stores and grocery.

Robin took the pet nutrition football and ran hard. Learning daily from pet nutritionist, suppliers and online classes and fact checking to soon become one of the Truckee Meadows most knowledgeable retailers for your dog and cats needs. Anything Robin can’t answer she will check with our pet nutritionist and research your pets needs. In 2016 when CBD was new to the pet industry, Robin deep dove its uses and advantages for the pet market. She is now by far the regions CBD expert. She’s will only purchase and sell the purist/safest CBDs. From were its grown to how its extracted is very important.

Craig (Hammer) Petersen was able to retire after 30years in the grocery distribution business 25 years of which was with Pepsi Co Frito Lay. Bringing Healthy Hounds Its unique store look, pet friendly and shopping experience. Shopping at Healthy Hounds is more then a place to get your pet’s needs, it’s a place you can bring your dog and enjoy its friendly décor. Hammer has also invested in a custom Laser engraver/cutter giving our customers personal pet memorials, cups, cutting board, signs, wood, glass, acrylic, leather, brick, granite, slate oh and even dog tags.
